Role Purpose:
Deliver required DTM/Sample service and satisfy external customer expectation enabling good conversion of samples to bulk orders while optimizing dye-lab operations resources.
Deliver good promotion to bulk production in terms of Color quality and fastness performance
Effective communication among all stakeholders within the organization in the management of various dye-lab activity primarily pertaining to customer sample requests.
What you will do (Key Responsibilities):
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Ensure all company Health & Safety policy and regulations are strictly implemented and satisfied
- Establish and maintain high level of Health and safety mindset/culture within own area of responsibility
- Create and maintain a world-class working environment with strong 5S practices, professional appearance, and safety best practices
Laboratory operational
- Ensure all SOPs/W.Is are reviewed/updated/followed correctly.
- Ensure laboratory operational KPIs are met and continuously improved, including: Attempt per shade, Samples lead time, Lot per machine per day, sample rejection rate and Color quality promote to bulk
- Work with maintenance to identify and correct poorly performing machinery.
- Control the laboratory working hour per output
- Manage effectively the communication between Sales & Marketing, customers and the laboratory
- Recommend, agree and implement improvements to the process flow with a view to making the colour sampling service more competitive.
Discipline:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of subordinates.
- Ensure working hour regulations are strictly followed
- Conduct Performance Review yearly with Subordinates.
Who you are (Requirements):
- University graduate – preferably textile, chemical or engineering field
- Good management of people, able to get the best out of all the team
- Good technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuffs and auxiliary chemicals
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Ability to present reports in a clear and concise fashion
- Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.
- Ability to work in a systemised methodical manner.
- Data analysis basic skills
- Having experience in textile dyeing, colorist is a big advantage
