Role Purpose:
Ensure efficient and reliable production planning for Vietnam operations (HCM and HY) by developing and executing feasible production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints. Enable high service levels, optimal utilization of production resources, and minimal disruptions through effective coordination with cross-functional teams including Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics. Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Supply Chain activities in Hung Yen, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment, timely issue resolution, and seamless execution of supply chain operations.
What you will do (Key Responsibilities):
- Production Planning & Execution
- Manage production planning activities for Vietnam manufacturing sites to ensure optimal production schedules aligned with demand and supply requirements
- Develop and maintain feasible production plans considering capacity, material availability, labor, and machine constraints
- Coordinate closely with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans
- Monitor production performance versus plan and proactively address deviations to minimize service impact
- Ensure optimal utilization of production capacity while balancing efficiency, cost, and service level requirements
- Support short-term and mid-term production scheduling, including daily/weekly production prioritization
- Respond quickly to disruptions and adjust plans to minimize impact on customer service
- Inventory & Material Coordination
- Align production plans with raw material availability to prevent shortages and production disruptions
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and key material inventory levels to ensure healthy stock positioning
- Coordinate with supply planning and warehouse teams to manage material flow and production readiness
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans
- Participate in S&OP/IBP meetings to align production capacity with demand outlook and supply constraints
- Communicate production constraints and risks clearly to stakeholders and propose mitigation options
- Inventory & Service Level Management
- Support service level performance (OTTP)
- Manage slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory (SLOBs)
- Implement inventory optimization initiatives (e.g., safety stock, coverage policies)
- Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Track KPIs: Service Level, Inventory Turns, DOS (Days of Supply), Plan Adherence
- Analyse root causes of production deviations and drive corrective actions with relevant teams
- Analyse root causes of Service (OTTP) Failures and drive corrective actions with relevant teams
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency
- Team Management
- Manage and support a team of production planners
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team
- Ensure effective task allocation and timely execution of planning activities
- Other Projects as required
