Position Title: Assistant Manager - Central Planner 

Location: Bangalore

 

Role Purpose

  • Responsible of grey thread supply by centrally planning the overall level of Supply and Inventory for D&F units.

Or

  • Plan Supply in accordance with Coats Best Practice Supply Planning Definition
  • Ensure focus on Lead-time, Service and Stock Targets
  • Responsible for leading and coordinating activities of Inventory Management, Sales and Operations
  • Planning, coordination with FG planning teams, Master Planning, Execution and Performance Management.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

Data-

  • Promote best practice within the network
  • Develop skills and capability within the team, training of new team members
  • Capacities, MRP Data integrity, Calendars, APO Custom Tables
  • Ensure Integrity of the data pertaining to the forecast including Statistical forecasting parameters, demand history, factors driving SS, MRP Category classification
  • Check Performance Vs Expected outcome across Planning and Scheduling Function

 

 

Process-
Senior Central Grey Thread Planner

Ÿ         Forecast revision, maintenance, and updates for numerous Asia markets with a monthly ordering process for grey thread.

Ÿ         Establish sourcing plans for the plants ordering grey thread from different vendors.

Ÿ         Measuring forecast accuracy for various manufacturing plants.

Ÿ         Perform different analysis, tasks, and support for Central planning with measurement of grey thread KPIs, stocks and planning.

Ÿ         Continuous control over movements, consumption, and necessary follow-ups

Ÿ         Necessary responses/ reactions to changes made by suppliers and reacting to any demand changes by optimizing stock levels/ projected stocks.

Ÿ         Review GT forecasts and action any necessary consumption overrides in SAP APO.

Ÿ         Supervise the Master data settings for grey thread items in SAP.

Ÿ         Followup and implementing necessary changes to sourcing matrix, changes to transportation lane settings.

Ÿ         Establish and maintain continuous and close communication with both vendors and customers.

Ÿ         Prepare list of unsatisfied sales orders and raw materials on the rationing list for daily information to Bulk Processing units and Customer service units.

Ÿ         Prepare Grey Thread Forecasting performance reports for Asia units.

Ÿ         Analyse vendor performance to highlight problem areas and continuously tune lead-time settings for procurement planning.

  •       Support global/ regional new product introductions and coordinate mass changes in the area of Grey thread eg. Package changes
  •       Analyse key KPIs monthly and draw up/ implement corrective actions to deliver both inventory (including SLOB) and service metrics.

Ÿ         Continuously keep oneself updated about the latest SOPs and processes related to Grey Thread Planning.

  •       Take active part in the EuroAsia GT S&OP meetings, regularly leading the D&F section

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Strong statistical and mathematical knowledge.
  • Good communication skills (Superior in English).
  • Good Excel knowledge.
  • Good problem resolving skills
  • Good skill to observe the relation between different areas

 

Desirable

  • University Degree
  • Relevant Supply Chain Qualification
  • Supply chain qualification eg. APICS, Skill Dynamics
  • Min 3-4 years of work experience in a similar
