Role Purpose:
Manage the dyeing processes, sample queue, sample requirements and ensure resources are used efficiently. To support the dye house KPI targets of RFT, CQ, LpMpD and throughput/lead time and lab KPI targets of attempt per match, lab to bulk and ensure they are achieved and improved upon consistently. Responsible for delivering the rated output, meeting quality requirements, ensuring health and safety of employees in dyehouse.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Health and Safety – leading and lagging indicator performance, Review of TaRA, MOC, MSA,Equipment checklist.
- 6S score of the zone.
- Sustainability – Water L/kg, Energy Kwh/kg, and Waste %
- Customer complaints per 100 order lines, TUC Kg and Fail store stock movements.
- Dyeing lead time in 24 hours.
- Attempts per match, RFT%, CQ%, Operative hours per dye lot, Operative hours per 100kg, LpMpD, Efficiency and Utilization %, red tail analysis, WFT management.
- Redyeing success rate and DTM development success rate.
- Productivity benefit projects delivered, LSS projects handled, Kaizen and OPL developed.
- Planning DOE and taking trials, establishing process routes, process conditions; The executive is responsible for extensive research, to conduct iterative trials on dyeing and finishing related to innovation projects.
- Support monitoring and improving product quality.
- Manage the ISO/GRS/GOTS requirements.
- Should have excellent communication skills, willingness to learn new things, excellent interpersonal skills and team management on a regular bsis.
- Coordination with supply chain for planning and delivery
- Coordination with maintenance team for improving machine performance, utilization %.
- Coordination with HR for employee recruitment, training, attrition and absenteeism.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering or Postgraduate with major in relevant sciences e.g., textile technology, chemistry, textile processing, textile chemistry, man-made fibre technology.
- 5-8 Years of experience into dyehouse, Dye house systems practical knowledge in efficient use. e.g. colour database management, recipe
- Management, Dye sect, Sedo master, Technorama, LA & Lawer system colour and chemical dispensing.
- Experience in dyeing operations of different substrates – cotton, polyester, blends, sustainable products, other synthetic fibres, and blends.
- Knowledge on dye vessel working principle and related safety, quality measures in dyeing. 4. Excellent communication and team motivation skills. Good knowledge in SAP, in the relevant transactions.
- Knowledge of Health and safety standards and laws.
- Connect with Industry – RM/D&C suppliers, associations.
- Language proficiency – Tamil, English.
- Certified Internal auditor in ISO Quality, Health & Safety and Environment management sys tem, GRS/GOTS etc., will be an added advantage.
Desirable:
- Lean Six Sigma Green belt will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of chemical safety, MSDS, ZDHC, Chemcheck, Oekotex etc.,
