  1. Spinning & Twisting – Process control, Inspection and testing of Raw material, Process of sourcing units at all stages, up to the end product, which is to be confirmed with assured quality as per the Coats group's specific requirement.
  2. To ensure the agreed yarn quality of the incoming sourced thread.
  3. To regularly visit the convertor units along with their sub-convertor units to check the in-process quality and production at every stage. Also to ensure SOP adherence.

  1. Monitor the live processes closely and to assure the product quality against the target.
  2. To improve the performance of the process based on the customer feedback.
  3. To reduce customer complaints by a systematic approach.
  4. Follow-up of new sample developments.
  5. Follow up of process-oriented trials.
  6. Follow up on raw material arrival lots for their quality evaluation and confirm the specified target.
  7. To ensure the prompt delivery of goods with specified quality.
  8. To monitor/support the activities of the testing lab at Gobichettipalayam.
  9. To assist in ensuring the physical stock verification at twice in a year.
  10. To develop new convertors & sub-convertors and audit them frequently.
  11. To troubleshoot in-house as well as sourcing units of manufacturing processes.
  12. To check and ensure the requirements to meet compliance and support the sourcing unit HR teams.
  13. To support the certification process of BIS/GRS and other units

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Desirable

  1. Method & manufacturing of cotton/polyester yarns (other than sewing – normal, compact, Eli-twist, gassed & mercerised), core spun and polyester (SSP and Dope dyed in Coats).
  2. Principles and working of all yarn testing instruments – QAD.
  3. Working knowledge in the overview of whole spinning & twisting machines
  4. Working experience not less than 10 years.
  5. Must have completed professionally under graduation (B.Tech Textile)
  1. ISO, 5s & TPM.
  2. Basic analytical skills on reports with 6 Sigma tools.
  3. Basic computer knowledge.
  4. Collaborate with the team.
