Job Title: Assistant Manager – Spinning & Twistinga

Role Purpose:
To oversee and manage all manufacturing production–related activities in the Aramid Spinning & Twisting Department, ensuring optimal efficiency, consistent product quality, safe operations, and on‑time delivery in alignment with production targets, cost objectives, and overall business goals.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Production Performance & Operations Excellence
Accountable for achieving production targets with optimum efficiency, consistency, and cost effectiveness across all spinning processes.
Key Activities
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production programs in line with sales and plant targets.
- Ensure achievement of yarn quality KPIs (RKM, CSP, U%, IPI, CV%, and spindle productivity).
- Optimize machine utilization across Blow Room, Carding, Drawframe, Comber, Speed Frame, Ring Frame, and Autoconer.
- Monitor production per spindle, running efficiency, and stoppage analysis.
- Ensure smooth material flow and process balancing across departments.
- Review shift-wise production reports and initiate corrective actions for deviations.
2. Yarn Quality Assurance & Process Control
Ensure consistent yarn quality meeting customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks.
Key Activities
- Monitor Uster statistics, yarn testing results, and in‑process quality indicators.
- Ensure adherence to critical process parameters (TPI, draft ratios, roller settings, traveler selection, twist multipliers).
- Control fibre properties through effective mixing, bale laydowns, and contamination management.
- Analyze quality variations and root causes using quality tools.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce yarn defects and customer complaints.
- Coordinate with QA teams during audits, trials, and new count/product developments.
3. Machine Efficiency & Process Optimization
Improve machine productivity, reliability, and process stability through continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Activities
- Monitor machine performance indicators such as end breaks, doffing losses, pneumafil efficiency, suction levels, and idle time.
- Reduce end‑breaks and piecing-related yarn faults through parameter optimization.
- Implement process improvements and modernization initiatives (automation, attachments, productivity upgrades).
- Lead trials for new technologies, components, and process improvements.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience into spinning and twisting.
Desirable:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Production, Maintenance, and Quality control within spinning and twisting operations.
