Associate Manager, Accounts Receivable (O2C) 

Location: Horana, Sri Lanka.

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for the credit function, including customer collections and Account Receivable (AR) management of the company, to ensure minimal risk and optimized cash flow.

 

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with relevant cross-functional teams to maintain an effective credit control and collection framework.
  • Assist the Credit Control Manager with managing customer vetting procedures and approving credit master creation and updates.
  • Follow up with the commercial team and customers on monthly collection target success and build operational-level track records.
  • Conduct monthly governance and reviews on credit risk, collection performance, and actions required to improve metrics.
  • Provide visibility and insight into account receivables activity and KPIs, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), BPDSO (Best Possible Days Sales Outstanding), and overdue accounts.
  • Support the resolution of customer disputes, account reconciliations, and debt settlements.
  • Assist the Credit Control Manager in driving and executing continuous improvement initiatives for credit function effectiveness and efficiency at the market level.
  • Assist with annual external auditsband internal audit processes.
  • Assist the Credit Control Manager to ensure strict governance on SAP and credit control processes.
  • Manage stakeholders in relation to debtor matters, ensuring compliance with local and group statutory/regulatory obligations.

 

Who you are:

  • Part qualified Chartered Accountant / CIMA / ACCA, or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of robust experience in O2C / AR management, with exposure to multinational corporate environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statistics, business controls, and local statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Superb communication skills in written and spoken English, alongside local languages.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools (especially advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • An analytical problem-solver with a strong sense of integrity, risk awareness, and resilience.
