Role Purpose:
The Associate Manager, Sales Analytics at Coats is responsible for delivering high-quality commercial insights that support data-driven decision-making across the business. The role partners with Sales & Global Accounts to analyze performance, improve profitability, and enable sustainable growth. This position plays a key role in strengthening Coats’ commercial analytics capability through advanced reporting, automation, and stakeholder collaboration.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:
Commercial Insights & Analytics
- Analyze Sales & Global Accounts data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities across markets and product segments.
- Convert complex data into clear, actionable insights aligned with Coats’ commercial priorities.
- Provide regular performance analysis to support leadership reviews and business planning.
Power BI & Reporting Excellence
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for key commercial KPIs (sales, margin, pricing, customer performance).
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance in reporting outputs.
- Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and enable self-service analytics across teams.
Strategic & Commercial Decision Support
- Partner with Sales & Global Accounts teams
- Provide analytical inputs to maximize profitability and customer value.
Sales & Profitability Optimization
- Track sales performance against targets and budgets, highlighting variances and root causes.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, and market share through data-led recommendations.
- Support commercial initiatives aimed at improving customer mix and product profitability.
Process Improvement & Digital Enablement
- Identify opportunities to streamline commercial and reporting processes using data, tools, and technology.
- Drive continuous improvement in analytics workflows and reporting efficiency
Education, Qualifications and Experience:

- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in any commercial discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive work experience post-MBA in business analytics, data analysis, or a similar role, with a strong focus on commercial insights and profitability.
- Proven expertise in Power BI (or similar BI tools like Tableau) with a strong portfolio of developed dashboards and reports.
- Codding knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of commercial concepts, including sales cycles & market analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proactive, results-driven, and a collaborative team player.
