Role Purpose:
The Business Analyst will be a strategic partner to our commercial team and be critical to providing the required insights for decision-making. You will move beyond standard reporting to provide high-level "predictive" insights that drive our top-line growth in existing and adjacent markets whilst improving our margins and driving the launch of new products to market. You will act as a primary advisor to the Brand and commercial sales teams.
What you will do (Key Responsibilities):
- Reporting: Partner with the Commercial team to provide customers with required intelligent reporting aligned to customer needs.
- Commercial Strategy & Forecasting: Develop financial models to build a bottoms up forecast of sales revenue and demand. Identify variances between actual performance and forecast.
- New product innovation: Partnering with commercial and operational functions to drive governance around the development and tracking of business cases underpinning new product creation through to commercialisation
- Pricing & Margin : Track product profitability in commercial pipeline and recommend pricing strategies to maximize margins.
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Monitor industry shifts and competitor moves to identify risks and "white space" opportunities for the business.
- Data Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into actionable executive summaries and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) for C-suite stakeholders.
- Forecasting: Lead the analysis of Commercial pipeline/ profitability. Develop and maintain pricing models to deliver business expectations.
- Customer reporting: Identify data required by customers in partnership with the commercial team and create dashboards to translate data into meaningful insights.
- Strategic Market Intelligence: Monitor global footwear trends (Brand & Tier1), including competitor capacity shifts and identify shifts like regulations, market patterns, to allow us to pivot our product portfolio in a timely manner.
- Innovation business partner: governance around financial business cases for new product development, engaging closely with commercial, marketing, innovation and operational leadership for well-thought out and robust financial and strategic inputs to support go/no-go decisions through the product creation cycle.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Present monthly Commercial dashboards to the Leadership Team.
- Digital Transformation: Lead the implementation or optimization of BI tools integrated with our ERP (SAP) to automate commercial reporting on a real-time basis.
Who you are (Requirements):
- Experience 5+ years in a Commercial/Business Analysis role, ideally within Manufacturing
- Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Data Science
- Technical Depth Mastery of SQL, Advanced Excel (VBA/Power Query), and ERP systems Experience with Predictive Modelling
- Financial Literacy Deep understanding of P&L, Gross Margin analysis, and Landed Costing
- Soft Skills Stakeholder management; commercial acumen; high-impact, presentation skills; ability to challenge senior leadership with data.
