Role Purpose: 

  • Lead the Apparel commercial agenda in Mexico, driving sustainable revenue and margin growth while building a high‑performing commercial team through people development and commercial excellence
  • Shape and execute market‑relevant strategies, strengthen customer value creation, and ensure commercial excellence across sales, technical service, and customer operations
  • Partner with the General Manager to deliver long‑term business growth aligned with Coats’ strategic priorities.

 

What you will do (Key Responsibilities):

 

Commercial Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Set and execute the national Apparel commercial strategy to ensure growth, profitability, and competitiveness.
  • Translate global strategic direction and key account programs into strong local execution.
  • Assess market, customer, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and shape strategic interventions.

 

Revenue, Margin & Portfolio Performance

  • Deliver annual revenue, gross margin, and EBIT targets.
  • Govern pricing discipline, product‑mix optimization, and margin improvement.
  • Strengthen forecasting accuracy and performance management with Finance.

 

Customer & Key Account Leadership

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with brands, vendors, and key accounts.
  • Champion Voice of the Customer, ensuring insights drive improved experience and long‑term loyalty.
  • Lead negotiation and closure of major commercial agreements.

 

Commercial Execution & Excellence

  • Optimize go‑to‑market with the right value proposition for the right segment, ensure agility and competitiveness
  • Drive sales productivity, CRM discipline, and pipeline accuracy.
  • Lead adoption of digital and data‑driven tools to enhance commercial execution.

 

Risk, Governance & Compliance

  • Manage commercial risks related to pricing, credit, contracts, and market volatility.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial policies, governance standards, and the Business Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain clear KPIs, dashboards, and transparent reporting.

 

Leadership, Talent & Organizational Development

  • Build and develop a high‑performing commercial team aligned with Commercial Excellence standards.
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities, succession pipelines, and technical sales competencies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, growth mindset, and cross‑functional collaboration.

 

Health, Safety & Environmental Participations

  • Actively participate in all H&S and Environmental programs.
  • Use appropriate PPE as designated area.
  • Report any safety or environmental incidents, including accidents, near misses, unsafe actions, and unsafe conditions.
  • Implementing all activity in their department in accordance with the environmental policy and developing corrective action plans with ECCR Team when needed.

 

Who you are (Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree; fluent English
  • 12+ years in Sales/Marketing for B2B, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven strategic commercial leadership and change management experience
  • Strong communication, commercial judgment, and stakeholder influence
  • Demonstrated leadership in Commercial Excellence, customer value creation, and cross‑functional alignment
  • High integrity; capable of leading through volatile environments
