Job Purpose
The HR Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organization's HR practices adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They play a critical role in minimizing legal risks, promoting ethical conduct, and maintaining a compliant and fair workplace.
Key Result Areas
- Maintain and execute the compliance programs of the company as compliance project manager
- Hands on knowledge of Labour Laws (Acts / Rules & Regulations.
- Monitor the applicable laws, stay on top of the dynamic laws and regulations and make changes to the system as and when required
- Supervise all the business processes that involve compliance and regulations
- Take timely actions to ensure compliance, both with national/local laws and internal policies of the company
- Make reports and documentation on potential compliance risks
- Establish and carry out proper training programs, so that the employees are aware of the laws and regulations they need to adhere to
- Carry out investigations to find gaps in the current strategies, which involve compliance and rectify them as per the regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate and work alongside a senior compliance manager, to develop policies that adhere to the laws and regulations
- Liaise with stakeholders and other senior executives to develop new company-wide policies
- Filing of multiple returns and registers to the Govt. authorities as per the timelines under various Acts.
- Registrations / Renewals / Amendments to be done as per the requirements under various Acts.
- Supporting Internal Audits and Compliance
- Audit of third-party vendor compliances on a regular basis under various Acts.
- Managing the compliance closure on the Legal's Compliance Tool (internal).
- Compliance Vendor Management
Knowledge, Competencies and Key Behaviours Required
- 2-5 years Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or a similar discipline
- Prior experience working in compliance
- Proficiency in industry trends, laws, and regulations
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in risk management or auditing
- Exposure to curating, executing and monitoring compliance projects
