Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

  • Directly lead & manage all operations in his department (including application of new processes) to achieve Company targets
  • Ensure all dye-house machinery/devices are performing to its highest capability through proper coordination & collaboration with engineering.
  • Monitor the appropriate utilization and maintenance of production fixed assets under his responsibility.
  • Ensure all dye-house operations standards/SOPs are being implemented in the factory.
  • Control the implementation of various continuous improvement activities relating to health & safety issues.
  • Keep close control of supplying materials, spare parts, dyestuffs for production activities
  • Prepare new investment plan for machinery to adapt with production demand
  • Report periodically to Branch Director on production operations and achievement
  • Participate in recruitment, training, assessment, rewarding, disciplinary process for production staff
  • Maintain effective communication with other Departments to achieve collective results for company.
  • Works with people relations officer in ensuring all DH workers are motivated and remain compliant to various company policy related to well-being and people welfare including TU (trade union) concerns. 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree, preferably in Dyeing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Textile Technology (ASDC or ATI level)
  • Minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years in a textile dye house
  • Minimum of 3 years at management level
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of Colour Physics
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese, written and spoken
  • Demonstrable capacity/ability for leadership, organisation, people management and effective communication.
  • Relentless focus on target achievement and continuous improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to use initiative and to accept responsibility/accountability
