Role Purpose:

  • To ensure all Dyehouse 2 dyeing activity meets CPP targets in terms of safety, quality and productivity through enforcement of SOP
  • To identify and develop DH2 potential subordinators to become future leaders.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

Key accountability:

  • To ensure all dyeing activity meets CPP targets in terms of Safety, Colour quality and Right first time.
  • Monitor, analyse LpMpD in DH2 and recommend action plan to meet LpMpD target.

 

Common accountability:

1.Safety and Housekeeping

- Responsible for team, machine, operation safety to ensure safe place to work

- Maintain housekeeping to meet Coats standard and policies

- Identify areas for improvement in term of safety & house keeping

 

2. Quality

- Achieve Colour Quality through trend analysis along with proposals for improvement

- Produce root cause analysis along with proposals to reduce external quality complaints.

 

3. Productivity

- Achieve LpMpD and Dyehouse Lead Times through data analysis to spot opportunities for improvement

- Work with maintenance to identify and correct top 10 poorly performing machines

- Work with system engineer to fix lawer system errors

- Ensure efficient operation of soft winding machine

 

4. People management

- Set up, communicate and monitor the objectives of their own Team

- Overview and monitor team disciplines and participate in the discipline meeting to build the disciplinary working environment

- Identify and develop their subordinators

- Ensure discipline & compliance are complied with company regulation & SA8000 and other customer standard

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

Desirable

University graduate – preferably chemical function

Two year experience in manufacturing environment at management role.

Ability to build one team and deliver results

Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.

Ability to demand quality every time

Enable to communicate and share policies to their subordinators

Basic facilitating skill (upward and downward & with other departments)

Conduct meeting with supervisors and others

Basic HR knowledge

Good understanding of dyehouse systems: ColourStitch; Sedomaster and Lawer

Good technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuffs, auxiliary chemicals and dyeing machine

Ability to use Pivot table, fishbone diagram, FMEA...for data analysis

Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt

Ability to communicate in English.
