  • Overview and manage all environmental and chemical management systems in Vietnam

Key Result Areas

 

  1. Manage Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in Vietnam
  • Ensure that all the legal requirements for environmental and discharge are known and adhered to.
  • Ensure all reporting to Group and local Environmental Protection Bureaus are correct and timely.
  • Ensure all environmental certifications, renewals and approvals stay current and updated.
  • Manage and lead all environmental initiatives and projects in alignment with global strategy
  • Ensure effective management systems for Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
  • Ensure proper representation of Coats at any related government meetings
  • To conduct cross internal audit of EMS to other units within Vietnam cluster if is required
  • Manage, analyse and present Sustainability data
  • Train sustainability, environment and compliance to employees
  1. Manage Chemical management systems (CMS) in Vietnam
  • Have updated Chemical inventory list across all sites in Vietnam
  • Effective Hazardous Chemical and Hazardous waste management in all sites.
  • Ensure effective chemical storage, labelling, and handling are undertaken at all locations.
  • Ensure MSDS’ are all updated, correct, and stored in proper locations.
  • Ensure Chemical and Material Restricted Substance Lists (CRSL and MSRL) are valid and action plans for replacement of chemicals are undertaken if necessary.  Coats restricted chemical list = what we promise to our customers – MRSL = Material restricted chemical lsit = what we require from our suppliers
 

Knowledge, Competencies and Key Behaviours Required

 

  • Bachelor degree in a Business or technical fields. Engineering or environmental related degrees preferred
  • Min 3 years of working experience in managing / leading team
  • 3 years of prior compliance experience management experience in environmental, manufacturing area in medium to large scope
  • Experience working in Multi National Company
  • Knowledge and experience for Social Compliance and Environment auditing systems development and deployment, and chemical management knowledge.
  • Experience understanding, applying and explaining environmental related laws and regulations;
  • Experience preparing narrative reports.
  • Strong influencing and consensus-building skills
  • Charting and trend analysis skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to understand and resolve compliance challenges
  • Leadership and ability to lead people, convince/impact others
  • Self-starter with good communication skills,
  • Proficiency in English both speaking and writing,
