Role Purpose:

HR Executive – Labour Relations to manage employee relations, ensure compliance with labour laws, and maintain harmonious industrial relations within the organization. The role involves handling grievances, coordinating with unions, and ensuring statutory compliance while promoting a positive work environment.

This position requires strong knowledge of labour legislation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Labour Relations & Employee Relations

  • Act as a bridge between management and employees to address grievances and disputes
  • Handle disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, and conflict resolution
  • Maintain healthy relationships with employees, unions, and worker committees
  • Promote positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws such as PF, ESI, gratuity, minimum wages, etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers and records as per legal requirements
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, and government filings
  • Liaise with labour departments and external authorities

3. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Manage union interactions, negotiations, and collective bargaining processes
  • Assist in drafting and implementing IR policies and agreements
  • Monitor industrial climate and mitigate risks of disputes or strikes
  • Support management in IR strategy implementation

4. Policy Implementation & Compliance

  • Implement HR policies aligned with labour laws and company standards
  • Ensure adherence to company rules, standing orders, and code of conduct
  • Update HR policies as per legal and regulatory changes

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain employee records, disciplinary cases, and compliance documentation
  • Prepare MIS reports on IR issues, absenteeism, attrition, and grievances
  • Track and report labour compliance status

 

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Labour Law, or Industrial Relations

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in labour relations / industrial relations / HR operations

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Power Bi
  • High level of confidentiality and ethical standards
