Job Title: Executive – Logistics

Location: Madurai

 

Role Purpose

To execute and coordinate logistics, production planning, warehousing, and dispatch operations for Madurai Unit‑1 (New Mill). The role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods, supports production planning accuracy, maintains inventory discipline, and enables timely customer deliveries through strong cross‑functional coordination.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Prepare machine‑wise spinning and twisting plans based on demand and raw material availability.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, QAD, Procurement, and Planning teams to ensure plan adherence and material readiness.
  • Manage raw material, IUT, sourced yarn, and finished goods receipts in SAP with accurate documentation and reconciliation.
  • Ensure FIFO, proper identification, and systematic storage of materials in the warehouse.
  • Support GRS documentation, including recycled RM receipts, BLs, shipping bills, and Intertek portal uploads.
  • Monitor daily production plan vs actual and support dispatch commitments.
  • Finalize daily dispatch plans, coordinate truck requirements, and support export/domestic invoicing.
  • Conduct safety briefings, report hazards/near misses, and ensure safe loading/unloading and proper MHE usage.
  • Prepare monthly reports including HSN reconciliation, warehouse statements, SLOB reports, MB52 vs HU reconciliation, and EcoVerde data.
  • Upload quarterly physical inventory into SAP and support ISO/GRS audit requirements.
  • Consolidate export requirements, coordinate weekly with export planners, and support PO finalization.
  • Raise NGIP requests for new codes and coordinate Master Data template preparation.

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Any bachelor’s degree / MBA in Logistics or Supply Chain (preferred).
  • 4–7 years of experience in supply chain roles.
  • Knowledge of SAP PP/MM/SD modules.
  • Strong Excel skills, analytical ability, judgment, and problem‑solving capability.
  • Experience in production planning, warehousing, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Exposure to ISO, 5S, GOTS, and GRS systems.
  • Strong coordination and cross‑functional communication skills.

 

Desirable

  • Additional supply chain management qualifications.
