Job Purpose

 

 

Manage the shift finishing processes and resources efficiently, such that finishing KPI targets of EHS goals, productivity, EI, Quality complaints, lead times are achieved and improved upon consistently. The position also to ensure the optimum utilization of resources like people, machinery, and energy during the shift. Ensuring the compliance of SOPs for all shop floor activities, safe work environment and work practices in the shift operations.

 

 

Key Result Areas

 

 

  • Health and Safety – leading and lagging indicator performance, Review of TaRA, MOC, MSA, Equipment checklist, compliance to PPE
  • Tracking Hazard reporting rate, closing of improvement and corrective actions
  • Training of employees on SOP, training hours per person per annum
  • Employee absenteeism, attrition levels
  • 6S score of the zone, BBS participation rate and BBS observations/actions, effective 1:1 conversation with assigned employees.
  • Sustainability – Water L/kg, Energy Kwh/kg, and Waste %
  • Customer complaints per 100 order lines, TUC Kg and Fail store stock movements, waste %.
  • Mill lead time in 48 hours and Finishing lead time in 24 hours.
  • Operative hours per CLU, Operative hours per 100kg, Efficiency Index and Utilization %, Stock discrepancy report – non quality complaints/packing related complaints
  • Training, retraining of employees, performance assessment, multi training %
  • Productivity benefit projects delivered, LSS projects handled, Kaizen and OPL developed.

 

 

Knowledge, Competencies and Key Behaviours Required

 

 

  1. Engineering or Postgraduate with major in relevant sciences e.g., textile technology, chemistry, textile processing, textile chemistry, manmade fibre technology with 2–3-year experience or
    Diploma, Undergraduate in the above fields with 3–5-year experience will be preferred.
  2. Master’s degree with 3 years of work experience in a factory, large scale team management.
  3. Excellent communication and team working skills.
  4. Knowledge in SAP, in the relevant transaction - desirable.
  5. Knowledge of Health and safety standards and laws.
  6. Language proficiency – Tamil, English
  7. Awareness on ISO Quality, Health & Safety and Environment management system, GRS/GOTS etc., is desirable
  8. Lean Six Sigma yellow belt / awareness - desirable.
  9.  Knowledge on MS office/MS 365, Power BI
  10. Knowledge of chemical safety, MSDS, ZDHC, Chemcheck, Oeko-tex etc.,
