Role Purpose:

  • For establishing the process route and process conditions in Dyeing & Finishing for the sustainable /recycled products. Manage the dyeing processes, sample queue, sample requirements and resources efficiently and support the dye house KPI targets of RFT, CQ, LpMpD and throughput, lab KPI targets of attempt per match, lab to bulk are achieved and improved upon consistently.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Establish dyeing and finishing processes for sustainable product samples.
  • Planning DOE and taking trials, establishing process route, process conditions; The executive is responsible for extensive research, to conduct iterative trials on dyeing and finishing related to innovation projects.
  • Support procurement function for purchase of identified chemicals for dyeing and finishing.
  • Leadtime of sample development in D&F. Need to coordinate with the local production team and quality team in developing new product samples. Need to follow-up sample production completely right from grey goods to finished goods.
  • Support monitoring and improving of product quality, dyehouse/lab KPI for all sustainable products, recycled products implemented in bulk. Need to perform lab-dips, colour matching and support quality team in conducting color fastness tests, durability tests etc.
  • Dyehouse performance of sustainable/recycled products.
  • Manage the ISO/GRS/GOTS requirements.
  • Should have excellent communication skills, willingness to learn new things, excellent interpersonal skills and team management on regular basis.

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in textile, chemistry or a related field.
  • Textile technology with 3-5year experience in dyeing. B.Tech/M. Tech in Textiles or master’s in chemistry.
  • Dye house systems practical knowledge in efficient use. e.g Colourstitch, Dye sect, Sedo master, technorama, LA & Lawer system OR same kind of working system in textiles.
  • Experience in dyeing operations of different substrates – cotton, polyester, blends, sustainable products, other synthetic fibres, and blends.
  • Knowledge on dye vessel and related safety measures in dyeing.
  • Connect with Industry – RM/D&C suppliers, associations.

 

Desirable:

  • Excellent communication and team motivation skills.
  • Good knowledge in SAP, in the relevant transactions.
  • Knowledge of Health and safety standards and laws.
