Role Purpose:

The Shift Executive is responsible for overseeing all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, achievement of production targets, adherence to quality standards, and maintenance of workforce discipline, safety, and compliance with company policies

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Shift Operation:

  • Monitor and manage daily production activities in the spinning section, including:
    • Blow Room
    • Carding
    • Drawing
    • Simplex
    • Ring Frame
    • Autoconer
    • PPW
    • TFO
    • Packing
  • Ensure optimal machine performance and promptly report and coordinate the resolution of machine breakdowns.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
    • Machine efficiency
    • Production output per shift
    • Waste levels
    • Productivity metrics

 Manpower Management

  • Allocate work and responsibilities to operators and helpers as per shift requirements.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain workforce discipline.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower to achieve production goals.
  • Guide and support shop floor employees to maintain productivity and quality standards.

 

Production & Quality Monitoring

  • Ensure shift production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
  • Monitor yarn quality and ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for immediate corrective action on quality deviations.

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/ B.Tech Textile with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in spinning mill operations, preferably in a supervisory or shift management role.
  • Good knowledge of spinning processes and machinery.
  • Production planning and shift management skills.
  • Leadership and team supervision capabilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality orientation.

 

Desirable:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
  • Basic computer proficiency for reporting and data management.
