Role Purpose

To provide a highly competent level of technical services to Domestic brands, buying houses, manufacturers & the company’s customers.

 

To ensure business development through the technical services activities including internal training, thread seminars.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

  1. Promote company’s top of the line and premium products to buyers, manufacturers & buying houses using the TAS concept.
  2. Gain local specifications for the company’s products from buyers & buying houses & Domestic brands.
  3. Liaising with other key account sales personnel (both domestic & global) to deliver a service & product offering consistent with the company’s global effort.
  4. Provide customers with a very high level of technical input and use this to build very strong business opportunities & relationships.
  5. Deliver technical presentations & conduct technical seminars to key customers as well as buying houses & buyers in order to build a strong brand recall of the company’s top of the line products.
  6. Conduct PES studies to create business opportunities to promote company’s premium products.
  7. Build & reinforce the concept of ‘Coats – one stop shop & sewing solution provider’ for all the customer’s technical needs.
  8. Sell the Coats service to buying houses/customers/Domestic Brands, in turn to the manufacturers.
  9. Train the sales team on technical aspects in the business.

 

 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Desirable

  1. Updated exposure on Textile related areas viz.,
  • Different raw materials,
  • Machines / Process,
  • Quality requirement and Systems of production of all substrates.
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering in a garment factory.
  • Specific skill for
  • Interpersonal skills to handle sub ordinates and peers of different functions and to interact with the customers on quality related matters
  • Good Analytical skills to solve quality and other problems

 

Acquaintance with peers/customers in the industry and awareness of the contemporary quality and business needs – including new developments in machines and materials, industry standards on machine and labor productivity, market demands, quality and so on
