Role Purpose:

Provide the regional leadership team and Division/Group stakeholders with the financial insight and analysis needed to plan, decide and deliver against the region's strategic and financial objectives.

The Regional Financial Planning & Controller acts as the region's primary financial custodian and strategic co-pilot. The role drives sustainable financial performance through rigorous financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and embeds a robust governance framework that keeps regional operations aligned with corporate accounting policy, internal controls, and local legal and regulatory requirements.

What you will do (Key Responsibilities):

Partner with the EMEA Finance Director, EMEA leadership and wider Finance function
  • Lead the adoption of AI and automation initiatives across finance to optimise processes and integrate them with the wider business.
  • Develop strategic initiatives and set goals and targets aligned with the regional agenda
  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of teamwork and support within the BUs, functions and departments
  • Ensure optimal deployment of resources to deliver business goals.
Management reporting and forward-looking activities
  • Ensure robust financial management reporting tools, processes and reports are in place to support business decisions and deliver ongoing and future strategic needs of the business.
  • Drive annual budgeting process and mid-term plan process to be aligned with the strategic goals of the business.
  • Provide ongoing financial modelling and analysis expertise to support business decisions for forward-looking activities of all time frames, i.e. monthly rolling, quarterly forecasts, Budgets and Mid-Term Plans.
  • Investigate structural overspends to determine if they stem from operational realities or breaches of company policy.
Decision Support / Management Reporting & Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth performance analysis on actuals (incl. trends, variances, etc.) to provide clear insights to lead business improvements and deliver financial KPIs.
  • Partner with regional department heads to move beyond "what" happened to "why" it happened. Identify whether timing delays, volume fluctuations, price changes, or permanent structural shifts drive variances.
  • Translate variance insight into action by co-designing get-well plans and cost-mitigation strategies with budget owners when targets are at risk.
Drive financial analyses to support key operating decisions, examples:
  1. Revenue Management: customer/contract profitability, pricing sensitivity
  2. Innovation: New product margin analysis, volume uplift/cannibalisation, etc.
  3. Productivity: Manufacturing and sourcing productivity, project analysis and financial evaluation.
  • Support investment decisions (CapEx, business cases, IAAFs) by building valuations and business cases in collaboration with other functions.
  • Drive robust cash-flow forecasting across short-, mid- and long-term horizons.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal control frameworks across the region.
  • Identify financial risks, close process gaps, and coordinate both internal and external audit cycles to ensure zero non-compliance material findings.
Policy Enforcement & Compliance
  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert on company financial policies.
  • Ensure all regional transactions, capital expenditures (CapEx), and operational expenses (OpEx) align perfectly with global guidelines, Group/Divisional DOA, and local GAAP/IFRS standards.

Who you are (Requirements):

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • Based in the relevant country (or the largest country in the cluster).
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to articulate complex matters simply and concisely.
