Role Purpose

 

  • Maintain regulatory compliance with regulations on Health and safety, Firefighting protection
  • To ensure all Task Risk Assessment (TaRA) & Machine Safety Assessment (MSA) reviewed and updated
  • To ensure all incidents/accidents are investigated and reported.
  • To ensure the action plan of H&S Audit Program in factory completed.
  • To ensure new employees and contractors are trained on HS awareness before working at CPP.
  • To monitor contractors and ensure they must follow H&S CPP requirement
  • Monitor and distribute PPE to employee levels

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

  • Be responsible for site health & safety inspection follow up H&S Policy
  • Training program for both CPP employees and contractor employees
  • Coordinate implementation and maintenance of 5S, safety signage, PPE, and emergency response plans

TaRA/ MSA:

  • Coordinate with relevant departments do TaRA/ MSA when having new activities and review TaRA/ MSA periodically to control the hazards and reduce the risks.

Incident/accident:

  • Participant to Investigate and resolve employees' health and safety issues, and conduct accident investigations
  • Tracking corrective/preventive actions to prevent the repetition of incident/accident and follow up action plan accordingly
  • Review and verify Unsafe reports from departments and propose improvement opportunities.

Audit/ Inspection/ Patrol:

  • Monitor internal audits, external certifications, and customer audits
  • Conduct H&S Walk (production & Warehouse) area patrol daily to ensure employees comply with HS regulations and to record any unsafe conditions/things, report to relevant department for fixing.
  • Issue work permit for contractor before working and conduct audit daily to ensure contractors comply with H&S regulations
  • Coordinate to other departments to conduct 6S audit monthly to evaluate the effectiveness of H&S programmes put in place.
  • Monitor the implementation and report to H&S Manager and Manufacturing Director regarding status, propose further improvement actions.

Training:

  • Training newcomer on HS awareness before working at CPP to comply with HS policy
  • Training contractor on HS awareness before working at CPP to comply with HS policy
  • Training and organizing chemical overflow practice yearly to comply with legal requirement
  • Organizing emergency drills frequency to comply with regulatory and customer requirement
  • Other training as global requirement.
  • Evaluate and planning training demand matrix to provide courses to employees on time.

Others:

  • Monitor and report KPI: Lagging and Leading, ISO compliance, incidents, audit results
  • Receive HS issues raised through departments and work with relevant departments to solve the issues
  • Manage chemical safety (MSDS), and maintain and update ISO 45001 documentation (procedures, manuals, forms)
  • Other tasks as requested by Manager

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Desirable

  • University graduate, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience in a job relating to health and safety, especially in manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Training skill
  • Computer skill:  Microsoft 365
  • Ability to read and understand English materials.
  • Mechanic/Technical knowledge
  • ISO 45001 knowledge
  • First aid training
