Role Purpose

 

  • To ensure all TaRA reviewed and updated.
  • To ensure all incidents/accidents are investigated and reported.
  • To ensure new employees and contractors are trained on H&S awareness before working at CPP.
  • To take co-ordinator in complying with mandated controls, procedures, certification registration and validation regarding ISO 45001; Coats standard and Customer requirement
  • To support designated MR in securing/maintaining ISO 45001
  • To ensure all H&S SOPs reviewed and updated (for whole factory)
  • To ensure internal audit implemented (ISO/ customer required)
  • To contribute to staff appraisals & supervision process
  • Lead by setting a good example (role model) – behaviour consistent with words.
  • To motivate & inspire team members.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

RA/JSA:

  • Coordinate with relevant departments do TaRA & MSA when having new activities and review TaRA & MSA periodically to control the hazards and reduce the risks.

Incident/accident:

  • Investigate incidents/accidents to identify the root cause, corrective/preventive actions to prevent the repetition of incident/accident and follow up action plan accordingly.
  • Report weekly.

Audit/ Inspection/ Patrol:

  • Conduct shop-floor (production & Warehouse) area patrol daily to ensure employees comply with HS regulations and to record any unsafe conditions/things, report to relevant department for fixing.
  • Issue work permit for contractor before working and conduct audit daily to ensure contractors comply with H&S regulations.
  • Conduct H&S audit monthly to evaluate the effectiveness of H&S programmes put in place.

Training:

  • Train newcomer and contractor on H&S awareness before working at CPP to comply with H&S policy.
  • Train and organize chemical overflow/ spillage practice yearly to comply with legal requirement.
  • Organize Exit drills quarterly to comply with customer requirement.
  • Organize Fire drills quarterly to comply with legal requirement.
  • Other training as global requirement.

Compliance:

  • Schedule and implement ISO 45001 internal audit as standard.
  • Peer review and customer internal audit
  • Update new laws in term H&S
  • Review and update SOP regularly.
  • High risk equipment technical safety inspection follow-up.

Others:

  • Receive H&S issues raised through departments and work with relevant departments to solve the issues.
  • Manage site security team.
  • PPEs management.
  • Contractor safety management.
  • Other tasks as requested by line Manager.

 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Desirable

  • University graduated, Major: Occupational safety, technical field (engineering, machine, chemical, electrical, management …). preferably with at least 5-years’ experience in a job relating to health and safety, especially in manufacturing environment.
  • English reading, writing & verbal communication.
  • Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft office 365.
  • Training skill.
  • Ability to work independence.
  • Self-confidence to work with management level as well as shop-floor workers/technicians.
  • ISO 45001 knowledge.
  • Have knowledge of Vietnamese law, national standard related to occupational safety, technical safety.
  • First aid training.
  • Fire safety training.
  • Risk Assessment, chemical safety, machinery safety & Permit-To-Work system.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
