Role Purpose 

  • The individual will lead in consolidating and centralising FP&A operations across the group, embed best practice and overall support to business finance. The individual will eventually lead a team to provide support to the business in the form of accurate and timely analysis with insights for business improvements. Standardised activities will be centralised within his team to create capacity for finance business partners to focus on value added activities
  • The role requires drive to identify and pursue value add opportunities, extensive collaboration with business, finance and technology stakeholders and energy to implement effective end to end solutions to deliver enhanced efficiency and productivity

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities 

Transition

  • Develop end state vision, strategize and implement the target model with clearly defined road map / milestones.
  • Analyse/ identify activities that could be centralised from group/ units to COE

 

Best practice deployment

  • Embed best practice in the areas of planning and forecasting
  • Standardise operational packs highlighting areas of focus for business performance improvement
  • Efficient direct from core system reporting to facilitate target month end close timelines
  • Supporting the business for effective forecasting including weekly / monthly routines and point in time Group planning and forecasting processes
  • Benchmark with external world and lead the continuous improvement effort in related areas including adjusting to changing business requirements

 

Governance 

Develop, employ and enforce stringent governance framework to manage demand on analytical requests as this role will be the point of contact for business stakeholders for all analytical requirements

 

Forecasts and plans

  • Collaborate and influence across functions and within the business
  • Provide first level analytical review to business.
  • Collaborate with Divisional FP&A personnel to prepare / provide standard reporting dashboards and finance presentation packs
  • Partner with the market finance directors in Designing Initiatives and Strategies for the market.
  • Participates in meetings and workgroups to identify and implement efficiencies to improve performance.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Divisional FP&A teams.
  • Work closely with the R2R team to reporting of monthly results and offer an overview of financial performance of business with insights for timely decision making
  • Deliver various standard reports to the markets on price, cost and profitability analysis 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant with minimum 12 years of accounting and finance experience.
  • At least 5 years of exposure in FP&A role at managerial level
  • Hands on experience in implementing centralised FP&A model
  • Strong leadership skills, exposure to operate with senior finance team, leading and developing remote teams
  • Non-positional influencing skills
  • Hands on with accounting principles and procedures
  • Internal Accounting standards knowledge
  • Strong written + verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in SAP finance modules
  • Proficiency in advance MS Excel
  • English Proficiency
