Role Purpose

 

  • To contribute to the business success of Coats Thailand through the implementation of best practice human resources policies and practices, and through the provision of advice and support to the management team. 
  • Key focus will be on recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, labour relations, and health and safety. 

 

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

Policy & Procedure 

  • Develop and implement HR policies and practices consistent with local practice and in line with corporate guidelines. 

Recruitment 

  • Introduce effective recruitment methodologies aimed at ensuring an adequate supply of labour.  This should be complemented by best practice induction and training practices. 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Ensure that compensation and benefits are competitive and equitable and serve to attract and retain high calibre employees.  Manage the local payroll function. 
  • Ensure that Time Attendance record is correct for payroll and payment will be made correctly as committed date. 

Employee Relations 

  • Implement and advise management on labour relations policies and practices aimed at ensuring productive work relationships and a healthy and safe workplace. 
  • Receive and investigate employee grievances. 

Training & Development 

  • Implement training and development initiatives aimed at upgrading the employee skill base and ensuring supervisors and managers are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage their workforce. 

Performance Review 

  • Implement performance management practices (ie. performance review process, corrective action practices, counselling) so that all employees have regular and constructive feedback on their performance. 

Administer 

  • Maintain core personal data (for monthly workers) 
  • HRIS : Maintain HR master and payroll data in HRIS systems (for monthly workers)    
  • Document and update the organizational structure of the company 
  • Manage payroll process 
  • Exit management 
  • Pension administration 
  • Employee engagement surveys 
  • Communication 

Administration 

  • Administer Administration services and support. 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Desirable

  • Min. 5 years HR experience and in depth knowledge of Thai labour laws and practices 
  • Formal qualifications in HR or a related discipline 
  • Previous experience in managing labour relations, payroll and benefits, recruitment, and training 
  • Computer literate  

 

 

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable, as is prior experience working in a multinational company 
  • Experience in administering performance management practices
