Role Purpose:
To lead the supply planning function with a strong focus on agility, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. The role ensures seamless integration across demand, supply, and logistics while enabling digital transformation and process standardization to achieve service excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainability goals. Acting as a strategic partner to the Supply Chain Director, this position translates business strategy into actionable planning initiatives that drive operational performance and growth. The role also champions a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:
Strategic Planning & Alignment
• Develop and execute demand and supply planning strategies that align with business goals and global supply chain priorities.
• Partner with leadership to drive long-term planning roadmaps, focusing on digital transformation, capacity utilization, and sustainability.
• Translate commercial and operational strategies into measurable planning and logistics KPIs.
Integrated Business Planning (S&OP)
• Lead the end-to-end S&OP process ensuring alignment across sales, manufacturing, and procurement functions.
• Oversee capacity planning, material availability, and inventory optimization to balance service, cost, and working capital objectives.
• Monitor OTIF, service levels, and lead-time adherence; drive corrective and preventive actions. Take proactive actions to ensure stock, days over inventory and SLOB management.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to optimize planning, logistics, and order fulfilment processes.
• Implement and manage planning performance dashboards, enabling visibility, accountability, and proactive decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost, improve forecasting accuracy, and streamline planning-to-delivery cycles.
Digital Enablement & Data Analytics
• Leverage ERP (SAP APO/PP/MM), Power BI, and analytics tools to enhance forecasting precision, scenario planning, and machine utilization.
• Drive automation and digital integration across planning and logistics workflows to improve responsiveness and data quality.
• Utilize analytics for performance benchmarking and continuous improvement insights.
People Leadership & Capability Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners to build a results-oriented and collaborative culture.
• Drive team capability through structured development plans, coaching, and succession planning.
• Foster alignment across manufacturing, sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics or a related field from a reputed University.
- 8-10 years’ progressive experience in production, demand, or material planning within a manufacturing, textile, FMCG environment.
- Minimum 3 years of proven people management experience, leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong command of S&OP process design and execution, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
- Expert level proficiency in SAP APO/PP/MM and data analytics tools (Power BI & advance Excel analytics) is a must.
Desireable:
- Masters or post graduate qualification in Supply Chain i.e. APICS/CPIM etc.
- Experience of working in a multinational manufacturing organization is highly desirable.
- Exposure to cross-functional operations, procurement, or distribution in a matrix organization will be an added advantage.
