Job Title: Manager - Supply Chain
Location: Madurai
Role Purpose:
To oversee and manage the entire S&T supply chain operations, including coordination with planning, order management and warehouse operations through effective coordination with key stakeholders from Manufacturing, Procurement, Central Planning, Quality, HR and 3rd party S&T convertors. The objective is to ensure exceptional customer service, achieve targeted inventory levels, reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB), enhance labour productivity, drive cost savings, and maintain health, safety, and compliance standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for delivering service, inventory and cost KPIs and analyse ways of improvement.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve targeted inventory levels in raw material, finished goods, packaging material, dyes, and chemicals. Work on reducing slow moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, central planning, procurement, and other stakeholders to deliver and support plant-specific KPIs in line with inputs from S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) discussion.
- Oversee the end-to-end movement of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods (grey thread) within the plant and ensure their timely transfer to distribution centers or other production units.
- Ensure availability for raw material and packaging material.
- Manage customer deliveries for both domestic and group markets.
- Implement and adopt best practices in warehouse operations, focusing on health and safety, labor productivity, and cost optimization.
- Follow ISO requirements and support certification audits (both ISO and customer audits) as part of plant management team.
- Foster team growth and development.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Postgraduate in Operation management with broad supply chain experience in planning processes, systems, tools (SAP environment), warehouse and 3PL management.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Manager roles.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies and programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC and Change Management.
- Good Excel and analytics, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data and estimate costs, and adherence to safety policies and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and coach team members.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Superior communication skills - written and verbal. Fluency in English
Desirable:
- Relevant Supply Chain and Management Qualification.
