Manual QA Tester

Role Purpose

As a QA Manual Tester, you will be pivotal to the successful delivery of Coats Digital’s product development and its delivery to our customers.  You will be part of a culture of high-quality deliverables at all stages of product development and project lifecycles, bringing a focus on customer success into the heart of everything we do.

You will report to the QA Lead and will work closely with project teams to guarantee the quality of our software deliverables.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

        • Report directly to QA Lead.
        • Share knowledge with QA team members.
        • Participate in standups and QA level meetings.
        • Develop and execute manual test cases, scripts and plans.
        • Assist with exploratory and regression testing.
        • Provide Standard Test Report to the QA Lead (and other stakeholders as appropriate) to update about the QA Status.
        • Contribute to QA strategy and processes.
        • Track and maintain defects in the defect management system and aid the development team to ensure proper resolution. 
        • Work with Developers to understand, mitigate and resolve software issues.
        • Work with the rest of the QA team to ensure the quality output is not compromised and that we deliver software with a quality first approach.
        • Work with Automation QA Testers to triage issues found into the automated tests.
        • Consider client expectations and review quality standards, escalating to QA Manager as required.
        • Any other duties or special projects as reasonably requested by Coats Digital.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Desirable

  • 2+ years of total experience of manual software testing.
  • Experienced with different QA Processes and Methods.
  • Experienced in preparing Test Plan, Test Case.
  • A structured and methodical approach. 
  • Be analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and timely feedback to QA Lead and development teams. 
  • Flexibility with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience/exposure to Database and API Testing (e.g., Postman).
  • Experience of Agile methods such as Scrum.
  • Experience of Microsoft DevOps.
  • Experience of testing a Delphi based application.
  • Experience creating test cases from user or technical documents. 
  • Experience with testing a desktop application.
