Role Purpose: (12pt; Bold)

To provide day to day hands-on supervision on shift basis of the engineering department technical staff to ensure highly effective and safe machinery maintenance in the organization in line with company policies, regulatory standards and statutory guidelines, deadlines & requirements.

 

What you will do (Key Responsibilities):

Electricial

  • Domestic and industrial wiring, Control circuits.
  • Preparing estimate for the above installations.
  • Understand electrical lay-out plans, basic motor controls circuits diagrams, fault findings DOL (Forward-Revers).
  • Carry out Inspection, testing, fault finding and repair in single phase and three phase industrial installations related to the factory electrical system.
  • Reliably use of electrical measuring instruments, AVO meter, clip-on ammeter, megger etc.
  • Attend factory PLC and System communication related to Dye House or Finishing machineries.
  • Design, Estimate and handle a small scale electrical project related to the factory installations, individually.
  •  Programming and installation of VFDs (inverters) in the factory.
  • Good knowledge in repairs and Preventive maintenance works of factory electrical and related machines. (Especially Finishing and Dyeing machines)
  • Ability to identify risk at electrical tools and equipment used in engineering department and fix them when required.

 

Welding

  • Should have ability to prepare material for the operation of Oxy / Acetylene fuel flame and cutting of steel with safe work practice all the time.
  • Should have Skill to prepare material and equipment for the Arc welding, Setting the welding equipment and perform manual arc welding of steel plates in flat and horizontal positions while ensuring safe work practice during the time of work.
  • Skill to perform oxy acetylene welding of steel plates in flat and horizontal positions.
  • Ability to perform arc welding of steel pipes in flat and horizontal positions.
  • Should have Skill to prepare material and equipment for the Tungsten Inert Gas welding, Setting the welding equipment and perform welding of Stainless-steel plates in flat and horizontal positions while ensuring safe work practice during the time of work.
  • Ability to perform TIG welding of Stainless-steel pipes in flat and horizontal positions.
  • Ability to prepare material for the operation and setting of Plasma Cutting equipment and cut metal in Flat and Horizontal positions with safe work practice all the time.

Fitting

  • Should have good skills of fitting - filing, drilling, tapping, grinding, chiseling etc.
  • Ability to do dissemble and assemble factory dying or winding side machinery and related equipment identify worn parts and replacement as necessary.
  • Knowledge of proper use of mechanical measuring instruments, gauges, tools.
  • Good knowledge of related measuring units.
  • Ability to repair Factory related Pumps, Valves, water and steam line or Boiler with steam related accessories like Burners, damper mechanisms etc.
  • Interpreted machine manuals, related drawings, ability to sketch and draw mechanical structure for machining or fabricating purposes.
  • Should have a knowledge of use every types of bearings and its specifications.
  • Knowledge to maintain factory machinery, tools and equipment in a serviceable condition.
  • Ability to do Designing Estimate and handle an installation of factory machines as per the manufacturer specification individually.

Lathe

  • Read & understand drawing sketches, select suitable materials, preparing work piece selecting holding devices to match the requirements of job independently.
  • Ability to use of marking and measuring tools, select proper tools for drilling, boring & thread cutting (Tap & die).
  • Ability to perform basic lathe operations. Boring, cutting, simple thread cutting etc.
  • Use of power saw, Drilling, grinder and shaping machine, marking table.
  • Fair skills of selecting, sharpening & preparing tools for cutting, drilling & boring operations. Selecting accurate machine speed, feed rate & depth of cut as per the job requirement.
  • Ability to perform facing, boring, thread cutting, knurling, reaming and taper & eccentric turning etc:
  • Operation performed to get the shape and finishes as per the drawing.
  • Plan and perform tasks in all situations and requirements of the factory appropriately, independently, with safe work precautions and practice.
  • Should be skilled enough to repair, maintenance of lathe machine, equipment & tool and tool holders, chuck etc.

 

Who you are (Requirements):

  • Successful completion of full time NAB / CGTTI / ATI / NCT Examination or GCE O/L examination.
  • 1 year full time course in recognized institute.
  • 2 years industrial experience.
  • 3 years experience in production environment.
