Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

  1. Product Development:
  • Receive and analyse customers’ sample requests, technical specifications, and work closely with R&D, technical to develop new products.
  • Follow up on sample development (lab dips, strike-offs, fit samples, PP samples, etc.) and provide timely feedback to customers.
  • Record and maintain complete data on samples, BOMs, costings, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with customers for final sample approval before bulk production
  • Proactively address discrepancies between forecasted demand and actual sales, working with relevant departments to find solutions.
  • Resolve issues related to demand-supply imbalances, such as stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Prepare accurate cost breakdowns and support negotiation with suppliers and internal departments to optimize cost, quality, and lead time.

 

  1. Item Creation & Order Management
  • Work closely with our partner to generate the purchase plan base on the forecast and actual order
  • Create new item codes in the SAP system following internal procedures.
  •  Prepare technical documents, product specifications, and coordinate with planning and production teams for trial and bulk production scheduling.
  • Monitor WIP and production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer delivery plans.
  • Ensure product information, quantities, and lead times are accurate and up to date
  • Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure on-time shipment and proper export documentation.

 

  1. Bulk Production Follow-up
  • Coordinate closely with the factory to ensure raw materials, fabrics, trims, and production schedules are well-managed.
  • Monitor production quality (inline and final inspections) to ensure compliance with customer standards.
  • Handle and resolve any technical, material, or scheduling issues during production.
  • Work with logistics to ensure on-time shipment and delivery.
  • Track and report order status, production progress, and shipment performance on a regular basis

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Garment Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in fabric and/or garment manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of fabric and garment production processes, order management, BOM, costing, and sample procedures.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with cross-functional coordination ability.
  • Proficient in Excel, SAP systems, and English for business communication (both spoken and written).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines and high pressure
