Purpose:

The position is to support Laboratory Manager by ensuring smooth operation and coordination of all laboratory activities relating to LRM Coordination, Colour Matching, sample preparation, and Ahiba and Simplex operations, on shift and during shift handovers. The position also to ensure the optimum allocation of resources (people and machinery) during shift, including weekend.

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

Ensure LRM Use

Ensure all activities relating to LRM, Colour matching, sample preparation and machinery operations are adequately resourced during shift so that Service Lead Time (SLT) performances are optimized. Ensure that all LRM requests are procesed efficiently and in accordance with relevant SOPs.

Monitoring Lab activity & Priority setting

Monitor team workload and workflow to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness and identify gaps in technical capability. Ensure customer priority

Ensure High Quality Matching

Ensure that high quality recipes are promoted to bulk for all BRI and BRD requests. Submit high quality thread matches to customers for DTM and sample order requests, ensuring that strike rate of shade card and atlas shades is maximized.

Training

Train the laboratory employee on SOP’s, Work Instruction and Health & Safety.

5S housekeeping

Ensure 5s Housekeeping in the laboratory and trained the lab operatives. 

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience:
 

       Essential

  • B.Sc. Engineering in Industrial & production engineering or Mechanical Engineering with
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Very good leadership skills, Interpersonal skills and communication skills are required. 
  • Sound understanding of the production process.
  • Shifting duty is mandatory for this role. 
  • Proficient in use of COLOURSTITCH Feedback.
  • Proficient in use of COLOURSTITCH LRM.

  •  Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English desirable
  •  Good colour vision (Score <16) as measured by Munsell 100 hue colour vision test
