Role Purpose:
Accountable for the end-to-end operational procurement process—from demand request through to complaint/claim handling. Ensure the supply of goods and services for Coats Footwear France (CFF), considering cost, delivery time, and quality. Ensure transparency of the CFF procurement volume.
What you will do (Key Resonsibilities):
- Initiating purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Monitoring delivery dates and handling escalations
- Negotiating with selected suppliers
- Processing price and delivery date inquiries
- Handling order confirmations, quotations/cost estimates, and complaints/claims
- Updating and maintaining data in the ERP system
- Clarifying technical questions with the respective team
- Providing relevant information on suppliers and externally sourced purchases (e.g., purchasing volumes, specifications, and other data)
- Supporting analyses, reports, evaluations, and market research
- Acting as the primary point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders/requesters
- Contributing to the further development and improvement of processes
- Taking ownership and independently executing projects within the area of responsibility, in collaboration with internal and external interfaces/stakeholders
- Participating in projects as a core team member or within extended teams
- Supporting improvements of key KPIs, such as inventory levels, purchase prices, and quality metrics
Who you are (Requirements):
- Completed commercial or technical vocational training, or a comparable procurement-specific qualification
- Fluent in French and (preferably) English, with strong negotiation skills in French
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, materials planning, or logistics
- Above-average end-user knowledge of ERP systems, ideally with SAGE and SAP ERP (ECC)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills
- Good technical understanding
- Structured, diligent working style
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and cost awareness
- Goal-oriented approach with strong communication and coordination skills
- High level of initiative and strong willingness to work independently and take responsibility
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively
