Purpose:
In this role, ensure availability of raw materials and delivery to the right location on right time. Involve with transportation, stock control, warehousing & monitoring the flow of goods. Improve operational efficiency & meet target KPI.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:
Raw material availability for production:
- Receive product plan from port delivery & coordinate with manufacturing team.
- Update GRN in SAP and reconciliation on monthly basis.
- Check physical stock availability as per plan & issue raw material to production floor.
- Liaison with QA, Lab, Dye House & Finishing for ensuring correct material flow on time & test report.
Monitoring & Follow up port operation:
- Receive raw material plan from planning team & communicate with C&F.
- Liaison with bond authority, customs, VAT/AIT authority for smooth operation.
- Arrange set-up for loading, unloading and transport for goods movement.
- Monitor stock inflow and outflow and coordinate with Gazipur plant for stock movement and planning.
- Check and receive documents & physical stock reconciliation.
Inventory Management & Control:
- Monitoring inventory inflow outflow.
- Monthly reconciliation by physical counting.
- Inventory discrepancy resolve with proper documentation & justification.
- Manage stock take process (wall to wall count) and system update.
Chemical Management:
- Will act as a Chemical Management representative.
- Ensure SDS, GHS Label, Manufacturing and Expiry dates are available for each chemical while receiving and communicate with Procurement team in case of any information found missing with chemicals.
- Maintain chemical inventory tracker and update it when applicable.
- Ensure relevant instructions like GHS label, SDS etc. are available and practiced at chemical storage area.
- Ensure chemicals are stored as per compatibility matrix and according the instruction of SDS.
- Communicate information in understandable language and arrange training on chemical handling for responsible persons collaborating with H&S team and Manager, Environment & Compliance.
- Ensure all chemical safety measures, emergency response equipment and resources are available and practiced at place (PPE, eye wash station, compatibility matrix, spill control mechanism, secondary containment etc.) collaborating with H&S team and Manager, Environment & Compliance.
Other activities/accountabilities:
- Implement health and safety procedures as per Coats standard.
- Work on improving internal control system as per requirement.
- Manage project work, development of place, process, and common facility.
- Work on new supply strategies, improvement of cost-effective operation.
- Work on Waste and Scrap disposal Management Process.
- Keep up to date documentation and records.
- Conduct documented briefing and training for employees.
- Look after the available machinery and equipment and arrange necessary servicing and maintenance where applicable.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in manufacturing/supply chain/logistics with reputed companies.
- Must have effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks all with an attention to fine detail.
