Job Purpose:
- Ensure overall Health & Safety of Site operations.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and provide assurance through audits and gap assessments.
- Set standards for operational skills of all personnel and manage assessments, gap analysis, and training.
- Ensure KPIs are met and drive H&S initiatives throughout the organization.
- Influence employees to adopt positive behaviours.
Key Result Areas
Quantitative
- Zero -Fatalities, LTI -Cases resulting in days away from work and -Regulatory H&S Non-Compliance
Qualitative
- An effective H&S Management System (as per the Coats H&S policies) implemented at workplace
- A positive development towards a generative safe workplace culture
- Increase the H&S awareness and knowledge of employees, contractors and other relevant parties
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
Operational- Health & Safety
- Review and continuously update the Safety Standards for all the processes.
- Conduct regular shop floor Safety audits and Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and auditing of H&S Management system, compliance & SOP’s in manufacturing process to deliver consistent results to best safety standards.
- Review H&S trainings and support in preparation of training / assessment planners.
- Fire Protection - Periodic monitoring system.
- Ensuring 100% compliance towards Legal & Coats H&S guideline requirements
- Build the Safety culture to the employees
- Ensuring emergency preparedness level and improve the existing condition
- H&S Training & Support for the Implementation.
- Analysis of incidents Investigation and its horizontal deployment across the sites.
- Periodic inspection - both fire protection & fire prevention systems
- Coats H&S guideline & Legal requirements follow up.
- H&S requirements review with department managers, zone co-ordinators & Site managers in regular basis.
- Implementation and ensuring the safety system and make action plans to improve the conditions.
- Periodical review of Risk Assessment, PTW, SOPs
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Minimum requirements:
- M. E – Industrial Safety Engineering
- Total work experience 10+years
- 6+ years of manufacturing industry.
- NEBOSH IGC
- Good Communication skills.
- Building teamwork.
- Microsoft office tools and Power BI application
