Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

1.Health & Safety.

  • Ensures all accidents/incidents and near misses are reported & investigated in a timely manner.
  • Actively look for areas where safety can be improved enhancing people safety in the factory.
  • Maintains high standards in housekeeping.

2. Enhancing Morale of Factory People in coordination with Site Shift Supervisors and Managers.

  • Ensures proper and effective communication of any people related changes in manufacturing.
  • Ensures all work-related grievances of people are properly coordinated and managed in a manner that fosters better industrial relations in the organization.
  • Works with site managers and supervisors in improving the over-all wellbeing and morale of factory people through enhanced work environment, regular people dialogues, and improved people recognition for good deeds/compliance. 

3. Instilling Factory Discipline in the workplace.  

  • Works with relevant departments in ensuring proper training and development are accorded to all people across the organization to achieve consistent implementation of factory SOPs and policies.
  • Takes appropriate and expeditious actions to correct any violators of company policy that detrimentally affects people behaviour towards established standards/norms. 
  • Along with leaders of the company, serves as role model for our people in achieving good discipline in all aspects i.e H&S, Ethics, Compliance, People relations, among other people related behaviour.

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience over 10yrs in trade union /industrial relations of big company i.e >700 workers.
  • Good communication skills with both Top/Down hierarchy in the organization.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve people grievances.
  • Must have the personality that exudes respect among leaders/rank & file employees.
  • basic English is a plus
