Role Purpose

To ensure that the products sold by Coats Phong Phu for HCM site meet group specifications in terms of quality while working with both Manufacturing and Sales Teams to ensure customer expectations are met.  It is also incumbent upon the role to serve as QMS representative in our ISO 9001 certification and lead QA team in various quality audits conducted by various global key accounts/customers so vital in our growth agenda and continuous operations for that matter.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

  • Meet agreed KPIs covering product quality, service, customer complaints, waste, accuracy, timeliness of testing, reporting and documentation.
  • Provide a safe working environment in QA department.
  • Ensure that Company assets under QA department are operated correctly, effectively and safely.
  • Manages all the people in QA department, ensuring highest professionalism in discharge of duty.
  • Provide a level of service which satisfies both internal and external customers.
  • Serves as QMS representative in CPP-HY’s ISO9001 certification process.
  • Implement Coats Best Practices and Global SOPs.
  • Improve the performance of the team, individually and collectively, through leadership, guidance, coaching, development and training.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree, preferably in Statistics, Textile Technology (ATI level) or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 7 years in a QA or Inspection Certification environment
  • Minimum of 3 years at management level
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of textile testing and statistics
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of Quality Systems and ISO 9001 Certification
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese, written and spoken
  • Demonstrable capacity/ability for leadership, organisation, people management and effective communication.
