Role Purpose:
To drive engineering excellence by standardising processes, ensuring safety, optimizing sustainability, and leveraging data for continuous improvement. This role enhances efficiency, innovation, and supplier collaboration while aligning operations with business and regulatory goals.
What you will do (Key Responsibilities):
Engineering Standards Oversight:

Develop and implement engineering best practices and technical standards across all facilities.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and company engineering guidelines.

Conduct periodic audits to assess adherence to engineering policies and standards.
Engineering & Machinery Specifications:

Define and maintain machinery specifications to optimize production efficiency and product quality.

Evaluate and approve new equipment investments and upgrades.

Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to implement innovative engineering solutions.
Process & Engineering Safety:

Establish and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks in engineering processes.

Support root cause analyses and corrective actions for safety-related incidents.

Train and support engineering teams on best practices for workplace safety.
Sustainability and Energy Management:

Identify and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Monitor sustainability performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.
Data management, Analysis and Reporting:

Develop systems for collecting and analysing engineering and operational data.

Utilize data insights to drive efficiency improvements and predictive maintenance strategies.

Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on key engineering metrics and project performance.
Supplier Collaboration:

Establish strong relationships with equipment and material suppliers to drive innovation and cost savings.

Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards.

Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives and new technology adoption.
Who you are (Requirements):
-
Academic qualification in the manufacturing/quality functions preferably textiles
-
5 years’ experience in quality systems and/or manufacturing operations.

Good knowledge of quality management systems: databases, SAP QM
-
Good knowledge of ISO certification and auditing
-
Objectives and result orientation

Good computer literacy

Organization and planning
-
Good communication skills in English

Ability to collaborate and work in a global matrix environment
