Education and Experience required:

  • Textiles graduate with relevant experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience of production floor management in industry
  • Ability to lead production workers team

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment and effective housekeeping standards to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise departmental production levels to ensure high work efficiency and effective labor utilization, thereby reducing labor hours as per KCLUs.
  • Maintain work discipline in the department and keep all employees motivated across shifts.
  • Ensure all operational and production activities meet integrated organizational requirements for Quality Management, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), EHS, 5S, Kaizen, and other GMP standards.
  • Assist the Production Manager in achieving departmental KPI targets by ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place.
  • Ensure all procedures for ISO certification compliance are followed and updated as required.
  • Play a constructive role in maintaining good relationships with the CBA on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for proper maintenance of machines.
  • Ensure implementation of all local and global SOPs, WIs, and best practices.
  • Ensure shift safety briefings are conducted every shift.
  • Work on specialized projects related to process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and safety as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Take corrective actions on machine spindles regarding length and lubrication variations identified by the Quality Assurance department.
  • Plan overtime, if required, in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain buffer stock of finishing materials as per the production schedule.
  • Develop a multi-skilled workforce through on-the-job training to enhance technical skills.
  • Effectively resolve finishing-related complaints received from customers or other departments; investigate all complaints and recommend or implement corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Liaise with Sales to understand customer needs, both stated and implied.
  • Ensure all compliances, especially overtime, are in line with company policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure work ethics and discipline are consistently maintained within the department.
