Sr. Executive, Engineering

Role Purpose:

To manage, guide and control all the engineering related activities during shift/continuous operation of the plant within agreed service levels satisfying the requirement of core production departments and in adherence to health & safety along with engineering related compliance to meet local & global regulations.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

Implementation and ensure the agreed service level of Engineering department.

• Implement standard monthly proactive maintenance schedule covering all the machineries of the factory.
• Ensuring the updated data for every B/D in the floor to do root cause analysis against the common fault to reduce the repetitive break down for same reason
• Ensure spare parts management through SAPPM
• Run the savings & sustainability projects through LSS (Lean Sig Sigma)
• Meet the deadline regarding general maintenance including all corrective & improvement actions reported in plant
• Act as Management Representative of EMS.
• Responsibilities in the areas of overall accurate maintenance of ETP to ensure smooth operation in each shift.
• Allocating appropriate manpower to attain different types of maintenance and project jobs.
• Developing standard operating procedure (SOP) for different tasks and train the workforce accordingly.
• Monitoring the different standards for ETP, waste, air emission etc.

Control financial performance of Engineering Department

• Understand the annual revenue budgets for engineering spread out it to all stake holders and maintained throughout the year with any major variances highlighted.
• Ensure the proper preventive maintenance to reduce the daily break down maintenance and proper utilization of all the spare parts and engineering consumable to support EM to ensure budget limit.
• Ensure the total productive maintenance by our own resources to minimize the cost involving the third party.

Control H&S along with environmental safety related issues comply with Local and global requirements

• Ensure Coats H&S and environmental safety policies & procedures are implemented in every level of maintenance work during shift operation.
• Ensure the smooth operation of ETP which can comply DoE requirements as well as global requirements.
• Ensure all engineering operation related certification & compliance as per the local government rule for plant operation.
• Ensure the implementation of environment friendly operation to minimize the energy consumption

Manage and develop Engineering Team:

• Lead, coach and direct mechanics & operators to maintain and improve performance so that they can adopt world class maintenance practices.
• Monitor the performance of mechanics & operators to ensure proper training/refreshment training by doing skill matrix, training need assessment (TNA) and training plan.
• Monitor, follow up and control different zones of machineries regarding 5S, safety and performance in shift level

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• M.Sc./B.Sc. Engineering from reputed university
• 4+ years’ experience in related industry and filed
• In-depth knowledge of the local rules and regulations governing H&S
• Local environmental legislation
• Preventative maintenance techniques
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 an advantage
• Pressure vessel maintenance advantageous
• MS Office, SAP, Colour Stitch, Minitab
