Role Purpose:   

  • To ensure all quality assurance activities meet CPP target in term of safety, quality and productivity through enforcement of SOP.

 

What you will do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Updating Global/CPP specification, testing methods, check sheet. And providing product specifications update to QA/Lab/Production/Sale/TAS,
  • Providing on-site quality control support through the delivery of user training (Yearly refresh training, new change training).
  • Meeting agreed KPIs covering product quality, customer complaints, completeness, accuracy and timeline of testing, reporting and documentation.
  • Planning, organizing and implementing customer required tests and reports.
  • Dealing with internal quality issues raised by external suppliers, customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Writing management and technical reports and customer’ required reports.
  • Monitoring performance. Work with superior and production personnel to analyse trend of product performance and aim to continually improving the performance of product/process quality
  • Supervising team of customer complaint handler, reporter, materials engineering.
  • Other tasks assigned by QA Manager.

 

Common accountability:

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Working with QA Manager to ensure targets for Health & Safety are met.
  • Ensure all accidents/incidents and near miss are reported in a timely manner.
  • Actively look for areas where safety can be improved.
  • Maintain standards for housekeeping.

Productivity:

  • Ensure all QA department standard operating procedures and work instruction are up to date and followed correctly.
  • Ensure specifications for global products are available and up to date.
  • Ensure Customer method testing and specifications are available and up to date.
  • Create specifications for non-global products.
  • Measure and meet productivity targets of department such as complaint handling lead time, keeping rate of samples.
  • Ensure all measuring/testing equipment use in QA are calibrated on time and certificated.
  • Audit supplier.

 

Quality:

  • Ensure incoming material meet specifications.
  • Work with sales and manufacturing teams to reduce customer complaints by doing corrective action and preventive action.
  • Work with sales and customers to identify areas where improvements are required.
  • Ensure support Sales team in term of testing and analyse thread of competitors.
  • Manage SAP QM in QA Department.
  • To ensure conversion factor are calculated accurately and reviewed periodically.

 

People Management and development:

  • Monitor and conduct annual performance review of subordinates.
  • Ensure discipline (behaviour and time keeping), SOPs are enforced.
  • Ensure team are compliance with Company policies.
  • Yearly refresh training and new methods
  • Hiring and training new comers
  • Set up Individual Development Plan (IDP) as needed

 

Who you are (Requirements): 

  • College/university graduate
  • Good management of people, able to get the best out of all the team
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.
  • Ability to work in a systemised methodical manner.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to present reports in a clear and concise fashion.

 

What will set you apart (Nice to Have): 

  • Good technical knowledge of thread production.
  • Have the knowledge and experience about Yarn, thread.
  • Have the knowledge and experience about inspection and testing lab, testing requirement, testing method, testing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
