Role Purpose: 

  • To provide quality technical services to brands and customers thread in the Footwear and Accessories business.
  • To support the Global footwear Technical goals conducting training, seminar, product recommendation, development and trials.
  • To support the sales team to develop a profitable sales argument in favour of the Coats offer for thread

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide Sewing support and problem solving for customers including Embroidery
  • Technical service support to Buyers/ Buying Offices/Customers
  • Provide technical training – internal and external, seminars, workshops, PES, technical presentations on company, product/brand promotion.
  • Conduct Factory Technical Audits, consumption and product analysis as required/requested
  • Build close relationships and support sales team to develop sales of high value products
  • Support all activities for testing or implementation of Global Technical Initiatives
  • Support the Thread and Structural Components new developments.
  • Reporting
    • Report to direct manager for key issues as they arise.  
    • Provide on time weekly Technical Reports Direct manager copied to Asia Manager

Key Qualifications: 

  • From Bachelors’ Degree in Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Garment Engineering or similar
  • From 5 years of experience in Footwear and/or Textile industry
  • Experienced in Sewing
  • Fluent in English
