Role Purpose

  • To use technical knowledge to maximize values of thread in customers’ place.
  • To provide Sewing and Embroidery solutions and Technical service support to Buyers/ Buying Offices/Customers.
  • To provide technical trainings – internal and external, seminars, workshops, technical presentations for company, product/brand promotion.
  • To lead PES/EVC drives or any technical benchmark, technical/ thread recommendation for product up gradation
  • To support sales team to develop sales of high value products

 

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

  • Assigned task achievement re. quality, timing and effective affect
  • Number of recommendation to generate the product up gradation turnover
  • Technical advisory records
  • Number of technical seminar organized in the market for products promotion or technical service providing
  • Sewing Advisory Service, Embroidery solution
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving. Support to industrial sales team in handling customer problem
  • Conduct PES trials, EVC, seminars, workshops, thread recommendation, technical advisory for product up gradation
  • Frequent make visit to customer to Garment or embroidery units with sales team to provide technical advisory service.
  • Make  independent calls/factory audit to key/ assigned accounts
  • Thread testing for customer support. Benchmark tests for both in-house & other Coats companies.
  • Conduct training program
  • Edit embroidery designs – modifications/improvements, productivity enhancement
  • Develop technical advisory plan with the sales team in sales plan and follow-up with sales team
  • Weekly meeting with sales team for update/ discuss technical sales plan implementation in cooperation with their sales plan
  • Prepare topic for quarterly presentation to Sales Team for sharing, improving and learning new knowledge from technical magazines, other Coats’ TAS team
  • Update to sales team on technical knowledge re. CPP products, textile and garment technical issues
  • Others: Any irregular assignment other than above descriptions related to Sales/Marketing assigned by Apparel Sales Manager Northern Vietnam

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Requirement of technical/mechanical advanced vocational
  • 1-2 years (preferable) hands-on experience in garment sector – processes, operations, machines, maintenance. Detailed understanding of threads and sewing techniques (incl. Embroidery& digitizing)
  • Sharp, intelligent, observant & motivated.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Good presentation skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Product (Thread and related garment production) Knowledge
  • Verbal and written communication skill.
  • Persuasiveness.
  • Analytical and methodic in technical approach.
  • Simple knowledge in costing
