Technical Services - Executive

Position: Technical Service Executive (FW – Threads and Structural Components)

Location: Chennai

Job Purpose
To provide technical expertise and application support for footwear manufacturing, with a focus on sewing threads and structural components such as toe puffs, counters, insoles, and reinforcement materials. The role supports customers through product trials, technical troubleshooting, and development activities while working closely with sales teams, factories, and brand development teams to ensure successful product adoption and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support to Customers

• Provide technical guidance to footwear manufacturers on the application of sewing threads and structural components.
• Support factory development and production teams with material selection and process optimization.
• Conduct regular technical visits to understand production processes and customer requirements.

2. Product Trials and Development

• Plan and conduct product trials for sewing threads and structural components in customer factories.
• Evaluate trial performance and provide technical recommendations based on footwear construction requirements.
• Support new product developments and assist factories during sampling and pre-production stages.

3. Technical Troubleshooting

• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to sewing performance, material compatibility, bonding, and structural component application.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve product performance and process efficiency.

4. Business Development Support

• Work closely with the commercial team to convert successful trials into commercial business.
• Identify opportunities for product substitution and cross-selling against competitor materials.
• Provide technical justification to support product positioning and value proposition.

5. Brand and Development Engagement

• Collaborate with brand development teams and Tier-1 factories during product development stages.
• Ensure recommended materials meet brand specifications and performance requirements.
• Support factories during brand approvals and technical validations.

6. Technical Training and Knowledge Sharing

• Conduct technical seminars and product training programs for customers and internal teams.
• Educate customers on best practices for the application of threads and structural components.

7. Market Intelligence

• Monitor industry trends and footwear construction developments.
• Collect and analyze competitor materials for benchmarking and product positioning.
